Waste Treatment Plant for Nuclear Radwaste in OTWOCK – SWIERK, Poland

Within the frame of a PHARE project of the European Union, Babcock Noell has been commissioned appointed with the development, engineering and procurement of a unit for the safe enclosure of spent fuel elements which have originated from Polish research facilities (reactors).

The order was successfully completed in 2007 with the supply of the technologically high-quality components for treating and encapsulating spent fuel elements.

The customer has confirmed its satisfaction in a letter accordingly. Babcock Noell can now add a further project to the extensive references in the segment of conditioning and treating radioactive fuel elements.

    • Vakuum-drying device
    • TV monitoring system
    • Radiological recording system
