Reference Packed Bed Filter System

Aleluia Ceramicas SA Portugal

For over 20 years now, the packed bed filter has been established as the BAT (best available technology) for selective, non-catalytic gas/solid reactions in the ceramics industry. Furthermore, work has been in progress for several years on establishing packed bed filter technology for separating particles and organic components from biomass and refuse incineration flue gases.

The specific function of almost every adsorption / absorption process (in granulate form) means that each reactive or catalytically active substance with sufficient pourability can be used for removing gaseous pollutants.

In 2007, Babcock Noell supplied a highly efficient system to Aleluia Cerāmicas in Portugal. The fully automated system enables 40,000 m³ of flue gases to be cleaned every hour at a temperature of 220 °C.

The system was taken into operation successfully and to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
