Fuel Element Replacing Machine

Fuel element replacement machines are developed similarly as a travelling crane. For the designed special task - transportation of fuel elements and core equipment - however some characteristics are necessary.

For the achievment of the accuracy in positioning (1 to 2 mm) the rails are treated mechanically. All drives work with lowest tolerances and are equipped with regulated direct current drives. Mechanical deformations at the gantry bridge caused by the weight of the trolley become balanced by exactly defined measurements.
