Dedusting Technologies

Babcock Noell has the optimal technology for filter systems for flue gas and process gas cleaning by means of electrostatic precipitators and fabric filters. The new design of the BNG pulse jet fabric filters is also the basis for our dry and semi-dry adsorption and chemisorption systems.

Overview - Dedusting Technologies

Fabric Filter

The newly developed  Babcock Noell Pulse jet fabric filter of the ecojet series builds on a proven basic concept; yet, with its state-of-the-art, highly efficient cleaning systems ecopuls and its process-optimized edgeflow design, it exceeds by far the current standard technology.

The ecopuls cleaning system was specially designed for enabling cleaning procedure of very long filter bags which is both as gently as possible and efficient at the same time. It has been designed in particular for large flue gas volumes and filter bag lengths of 6 to 12 meters. Another special feature of the ecojet filter is its edgeflow design concept developed in cooperation with specially equipped manufacturers after extensive flow investigations to facilitate a cost-effective, all the while quality-optimized production.

The ecojet filter’s benefits for our customers:

  • highest dust precipitation performance with a minimum energy consumption rate
  • high operational safety and availability with low maintenance requirements and guaranteed supply of spare parts
  • low investment risk and low operating costs in the long term.

With the ecopuls cleaning, the filters achieve

  • a gentle and highly efficient filter cleaning with mimimum compressed air consumption
  • and a high life span of the filters elements and permanent low pressure loss

The brandnew edgeflow concept

  • reduces equipment footprint at large flue gas volumes,
  • reduces fabrication and construction time and cost,
  • ensures high-quality, tailored components,
  • provides short project durations, fast order execution and low error rates.

Ecojet filters can ideally be customized for the respective application and therefore provide a solution for a variety of applications in different industries:

  • in utility power plants for the particle control of coal- and biomass-fired boilers
  • in solid waste incineration plants for simultaneous precipitation of fly ash, acid and noxious gases, heavy metals, and polychlorinated hydrocarbons
  • in cement plants for dedusting of kiln, clinker cooler and bypass exhaust gases, and the milling plants
  • in steel mills for off-gas dedusting of electric arc furnaces, ladles and cast houses
  • in foundries for off-gas dedusting of melting furnaces, induction furnaces, and production halls
  • in the glass industry for the flue gas cleaning of large glass smelters.
