DeNOx Plants for Power Plants
SCR - Process
The abatement of nitrogen oxides (NO and NO2) is achieved by the use of a "Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system"
Injecting a reducing agent (NH4OH = NH3 +H2O) into the flue gas and passing the flue gas through the catalyst constitute the reduction of the nitrogen oxides on the SCR catalyst to produce elementary nitrogen (N2) and water vapor (H2O).
